Steam on Macs and Portal for Free

Post  ShaftyCakes on May 12th 2010, 10:55 pm

    http://store.steampowered.com/freeportal/

It says until May 24th but I don't know if that means you can't play it after the 24th or if you get to keep it but everyone else would have to pay for it.

Either way, it's free right now and I REALLY suggest it. Note that you do not need to use a credit card for this, you just need a steam account (which is also free).

The bad thing about this is that Mac fanboys will be all like "we have games now" but they obviously miss out on Games for Windows Live (which is like XBox Live but for PC), they can't use 360 controllers and Apple essentially says "Screw You" when it comes to upgrading your parts for your computer (instead they want you to get an entirely new computer)

heh Apple computers are just shit

I did hear Linux is getting Steam though with Portal and TF2 being ported to Linux but who in the right mind would use that?

either way, I'm grabbing Portal. if its a free copy without time restrictions, sweet!

I strongly dislike portal so this doesn't really affect me much.

The 360 and PS3 versions of Orange Box are crappy. They overall were not ported with much care.

    Also NO GUNS WTF

Oh... I've been replaying GTA 4 in anticipation of Red Dead Redemption and I have gotten used to not having regenerating health.

I'm already on the last level which is 10x longer than the rest and is where the game really shines. I also downloaded some modes and map packs for more levels
